Acworth to pilot traffic court software created by Atlanta startup Judicial Innovations

City of Acworth clerk of court Misty Day spent 2020 adjusting and readjusting the court schedule because of the pandemic.

Court dates had to be pushed back. Zoom hearings replaced some in-person hearings. A 25-person courtroom capacity meant more sessions throughout the day. Throughout all those changes, the court still struggled with a backlog of cases from its three-month closure. So when Jarrett Gorlin came to Acworth with a way to move traffic offenses onto an online platform, Day jumped on the opportunity
